Dental Implants
If you are missing one or more teeth, there is a very good chance you are a candidate. The first step is taking precise 3D records of your mouth right here in the office. This allows me to look at your bone structure and make sure you have a solid foundation to support an implant. Even if you have been missing a tooth for a long time, we often have options to help build that bone back up if needed. Just give the office a call so we can sit down, look at your 3D scan, and talk about what is possible.
Because I do all the 3D planning on a computer before you even sit in the chair for surgery, the actual placement appointment is incredibly efficient. We use a custom 3D printed surgical guide, so the physical placement is quick and precise. After that, your body needs time to do its job. The titanium implant needs to naturally fuse with your jawbone, which typically takes a few months. Once you are fully healed and the foundation is solid, you come right back to my office and I will attach your final custom crown. Start to finish, it usually takes around six to eight months, but your actual time spent in the dental chair is surprisingly short.
This is usually the biggest fear people have, but recovery is much easier than most patients expect. Since I plan the entire procedure digitally and use a surgical guide, the actual surgery is very smooth and exact. A highly efficient, well planned procedure means less trauma to your mouth, which directly leads to a much faster and more comfortable recovery. You might have some mild soreness for a few days, which can usually be managed with over the counter pain relievers. Plus, since I handle your case from start to finish, you have total accountability. You know exactly who to call if you ever have a question during your healing process.

Many people are surprised to learn that getting an implant usually involves bouncing between an oral surgeon for the surgery and a general dentist months later for the final crown. Because I do both the surgical placement and the restorative work, you only ever have to see me.
